Unfortunately I didn’t have time to go in to many buildings and just stopped in on the ones on my route to the library. Stopped in a few churches, the town hall, and a theatre. In one of the churches there was a man playing a massive pipe organ.
Collingwood vs Adelaide, Melbourne Cricket Ground
“Footy” is quite a game to watch. Very fast paced and the match I saw was very even which always keeps it exciting. The best part of course is the crowd about an hour in when they’ve had a few pints. But the rowdiest ones were the little kids. One would yell for one team then the innocent looking toddler a row up would give them the death stare.
Gold Moth Exhibition
I walked to an art gallery today that was featuring work by a local artist. It was in the RCVA Gallery. RCVA is a skateboard/apparel company so I found that very interesting as I had no idea they had things like that. I’ve found myself wishing–on more than one occasion–I still skateboarded and this definitely piqued my interest again.
I walked to the venue since my MyKi is expired and I’m a rule follower. Down a street called Smith Street I don’t think I saw anyone over the age of 25. There seems to be an endless amount of hip neighborhoods in any direction outside of the city.
Also I’m not perfect. I rode the myki back and someone had my same boots on. And the guy sitting next to us definitely noticed.

Learning from Experiences
It’s a real conundrum. You need the first experience to learn anything to be able to move forward; but a lack of experience the first time around usually ends with imperfect results.
Australian TV
I thought American TV was bad. But it turns out Australian TV is just the things that are so bad they don’t even make it to America. At least there’s alway Seinfeld reruns though.
